Don's pretty sure he can do this. Maybe.

Read on...

Don Lothario's got it all. A nice house, enough money to hire a maid so he doesn't have to worry about chores, a job he's passionate about, a beautiful woman he loves who loves him back AND!

He's getting married.

Oooph. Nothing like the thought of marriage to stop a romance sim cold in their tracks. But it's okay!  Don can DO this. He has to be able to do this. If he doesn't do this...will he have to say goodbye to Cassandra? He'd promised Cassie, the minute he went down on one knee, panicked after she'd knocked on his door one night not to come over but to say it was over. She was too "emotionally invested" for a relationship like theirs, for someone like Don. Their "no strings attached" arrangement just wasn't cutting it anymore. He couldn't bear the thought of Cassie walking away, so this had to be the solution...right? So now Don must cut his romantic ties to his other lovers, which hopefully won't be as hard as telling Nina it was over...

Thankfully, Kaylynn doesn't take it too hard.

"So, you see, it's really not you, I mean, you're wonderful, but-"

"Wait, you're actually getting married? I knew she was funding your research, but I didn't think-I mean who wouldn't, but-Wow."

"So you understand then-"

"Wow."

"O-kay then, so I'm going to have to ask that you don't hang around after hours anymore-."

"Wow. Don Lothario, getting married. I can't believe it. Okay. Business as usual. I can do that."

But Kaylynn Langerak isn't the only sim Don needs to convince. Keeping his thoughts of Nina at bay, and his wants for her unfulfilled, Don decides he wants to talk to Mortimer Goth. So what better way to convince your future father in law that you mean business than charming your future in laws over a home cooked dinner. (they better be charmed when Don slaved for a day to earn a cooking skill point to make spaghetti!) The idea leaves Cassandra all too excited about, and Alexander a little too curious.

"So are you, like, kissing my sister?"

"Is that a question you want me to answer?"

"Gross."

But the dinner goes without much of a hitch. Don's in the business of healing and medicine, and homeopathic remedies have long since caught his attention. There are rumors of the healing properties of snapdragons, and Don's curious mind is exactly what drew Cassandra to him in the first place, interested in his research. So when Don surprises her with a bit of his gardening progress, a bouquet of daisies he made himself, she's impressed, amused, and just a bit love-struck.

"For me?"

"Only for you."

"Well, well, who knew the man actually had a way with flowers," says Mortimer, pleased.

And would you believe it, it doesn't take Don long to not only fulfill his want to talk to Mortimer, but improve his relationship with him as well.

By the end of the night, Cassandra is so impressed she wants an encore, and Don, full of thoughts of mainly Cassandra, decides another date night is in order. He can thank his want to woohoo with Cassandra for his new cooking skills.

By the end of the next night, Cassie is more than a little impressed.

"You wanna know what I tell everyone who thinks I'll slip up?"

"What?"

"That they can suck my-"

"I get it, Don," Cassie laughs. "You're sweet."

And it's with thoughts of Cassie flitting his head that Don gets to work on his flower arranging badge. It's his hope to one day be able to make proper house calls, for the sick and the expecting. And a few snapdragons might help him do some wonders around Pleasantview. But first, he has to survive his wedding day.
