heyitsej Nina knows Don's engaged. The "open relationship" he and Cassandra had before Don panicked and proposed when she could no longer handle their arrangement? Nina can kiss it goodbye and say hello to Don's new strings. But first, she wants to kiss Don goodbye. A final date before Don plays house. Or so he says. Nina doesn't mind waiting around to test how true that is. Don's not going anywhere anyway. Not when she's his best friend.

Any hopes Nina has of a last night in with Don are quickly dashed when Dina crashes the party.
"Isn't he engaged?"
"Hey. What happened to your date? I thought you'd be out longer. "
"He's an asshole is what happened. Bella can have him."
Dina doesn't seem to realize that Nina would like her to go back inside as the night drags on. "DON! NINA'S NO FUN. COME TALK TO MEEEEE."
Maybe it's the wine talking, but Don's looking pretty good right now.
"Are we-is this-?"
"Please. As if you could afford to keep me happy."
Nina's not interested in watching her sister drunkenly flirt with Don, and disappears downstairs. But she's not alone for long.
Nina's losing patience, and her energy, for this thing with Don. "So it's over, huh? We really just go back to being just friends?"
Meanwhile, Dina tries to assure herself Mortimer was just a blip in the grand scheme of things. She's furious with him, but even with a negative short term relationship that cost her her crush on him, Dina is still in love with Mortimer. Maybe she should learn couple's counseling. Or maybe head to the park to clear her head...and look for potentially rich future husbands.
Darren Dreamer is no upper class sim, but there's something handsome about his thoughtful expression, and a flirt really does wonders for a girl down in the dumps. Darren doesn't seem to think so. Maybe Dina will try again when Darren grows a pair of eyes. So later that evening, Dina manages to drag Nina back to the park with her to scope for husband material. Nina reluctantly agrees. It's when Dina is beginning to think there's nothing left to do but bad mouth Bella Goth that she finally sees him, a new face in Pleasantview, wearing a suit in such an eye watering shade of purple that it could only belong to someone with too much money.
