You might remember Hazel Catkin if you follow me on Tumblr.

A resident of (another) short-lived 'hood of mine called Forget-Me-Not, Hazel was a would-be farmer. Unfortunately, I stopped playing the 'hood. But I loved the sims in it (and the name).

So it was time to move on to greener pastures!

I'm not sure if this 'hood will last any longer than my others. But for now, it's fun, and that's what matters.

This time, Hazel Catkin is a young woman looking for a little adventure. After a bad breakup, she left her apartment and office job in San Myshuno with nothing but the deed for a plot of land that's been in the family for a few generations, and her parents' old RV. And her dog, Pickle, of course.

This could be the opportunity of a lifetime! To chase dreams she never thought possible! To go where she never thought she'd go before!

If only it was that easy.

But if Hazel had to look for a silver lining, it would be the friendly faces in Fox Hollow.

Nic, Tabby, and Peter have no shortage of country charm and hospitality. Pickle's quite fond of Nic herself. He's always up for a game of fetch, and always manages to make Hazel feel a little less alone.

Tabby's a little more eccentric. Whether it's filling Hazel in on bird facts she never knew before after wandering onto the property uninvited to catch a glimpse of a rare goose

Or unloading her theories of the supernatural

Tabby definitely knows how to keep a conversation interesting. But where there are friendly faces, there are also unwelcoming ones.

It looks like Hazel isn't Forget Me Not farm's only resident. Hazel isn't quite sure what the stray, who she's started calling Tiger Lily, wants, but maybe they can learn to exist together. After a couple nights of being afraid, Hazel decides she's not giving up yet.

Who knows. Tiger Lily might just surprise her.

With summer drawing to a close, and construction still underway, Hazel is hard at work.

The simoleons in her bank account slowly trickling away, Hazel's been eating a lot of fish. But at least there's a gas station nearby when she's really in a pinch.

"If I say please with a cherry on top, will you give me a discount?"

"That'll be 60 simoleons, ma'm."

Hazel can only hope autumn will bring with it a finished house, and maybe, someone new to share it with.
